Researchers Explore Ways to Curb ED ViolenceNurses who work in hospital emergency departments are at greater risk of violence from patients than nurses in other specialties, experts say. Now, with a $1.3 million grant, the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing will address physical violence and verbal threats against direct care providers and will explore ways to curb this growing problem.
