Jan. 29, 2010 - Hurst Review Services, a leading NCLEX®-RN review course provider, is partnering with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) to launch a new scholarship program for students in entry-level baccalaureate nursing programs. Two scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each will be awarded to nursing students prior to the Spring and Fall semesters with the first scholarship application deadline set for January 31, 2010.

“We have enormous respect for AACN and the faculty and students who they represent,” said Dr. Paul Johnson, CEO, Hurst Review Services. “Hurst Review is thrilled to support the community by funding scholarships and hosting NCLEX® review courses for students at AACN member schools.”

To apply for a Hurst Review Services-AACN Nursing Scholarship, students will need to complete an application form, which requires a brief 250-word essay on their goals and career aspirations in nursing. Scholarship winners will be announced within 60 days of each submission deadline. This scholarship is non-recurring and will be awarded to individual students for one semester only. “AACN is pleased to partner with Hurst Review Services to offer this new scholarship opportunity to qualified students attending member schools of nursing,” said AACN President Dr. Fay Raines. “Given the nation’s projected nursing shortage, we hope this new partnership will serve as a model for other businesses and agencies looking to support the next generation of professional registered nurses.”
