A nurse recruiter contacts, interviews and places nurses in jobs at a healthcare facilities. This position involves selling placement services to nurses and requires exceptional customer service and attention to detail. A background in sales is required as well as three to six years of experience. Experience with sales of intangibles and telephone sales is preferred.
Nurse recruiters must be focused and well organized, have an excellent phone voice and affect, be positive and enthusiastic and be able to develop and maintain "instant rapport" with candidates. Role is self-directing and self-motivating, but also requires a strong team-playing personality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A bachelor's degree is usually preferred.
